#guys don’t even get me started on how unfair that line is #like for real #all she wants is for Quinn to be her friend #that’s it #that’s all she wants and it’s what she goes after again and again and again and again #and she just doesn’t understand why Quinn pushes her away #why Quinn refuses to let her in #it’s not such a bad offer is it? #A friendship with Rachel? #She’s not that disgusting and horrible and manly - is she? #and ugh you know she just internalizes all of it too #and uses it to motivate herself and to keep going forward and to keep chasing down that friendship #but Quinn just can’t #she can’t #because to let Rachel get that close to her would be torture and it would be far too dangerous #so instead she hurts and she hits and she keeps her as far away as possible #to keep her sanity #only then Rachel says things like ”do you not understand what you mean to me?” #and you know Quinn is laughing on the inside #and you know she wants to let it out #just let it out and say ”I promise it doesn’t even compare to the way I feel for you.” #but she can’t #and she doesn’t #and the moment fades away and she knows that soon enough Rachel’s interest in her will as well #she’s not sure if that’ll be Heaven or Hell for her but if it means Rachel is where she belongs - i.e. in New York #on Broadway #in the arms of someone else#happy #well she figures she can live with that.
